Reviews and Ratings
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The rooms were large with great floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city, including a view of the Pearl and Shanghai Tower, which was jaw-dropping at night. The only downside was that it was a bit too warm in the room. The hotel's proximity to not-foreign known brands made it convenient for shopping.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were old and not very clean upon arrival, but they did provide ample room, lighting, closet, and drawer space. The service was fantastic overall, with lovely staff; however, the presence of a surprising robot in the lift was quite startling. The historical location of the hotel near Shanghai's subway system was undoubtedly a highlight, perfect for both business and leisure travelers. The dining experience at the hotel had its ups and downs, with a wide selection of dishes at Yu Garden Cafe but a disappointing set menu on certain days. Despite some shortcomings, the hotel offers a unique and convenient stay option with many positives to consider.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with comfortable beds and a view of the Shanghai Bund. While the rooms had a strong smoke smell reminiscent of an all-night poker game with constant smoking, the great location and value for money make it a decent choice.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The service was exceptional, with professional staff washing fruits in toilet basins and being exceptionally polite, friendly, and quick to help at Yu Garden. The location is a definite highlight, being perfect for exploring Yu Yuan garden, and within walking distance to the Bund and a metro station just across the street. The dining experience was great, especially with the generous home-grown organic fruits. Overall, a fantastic value for money stay!
My stay at the hotel was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were huge and immaculate, providing a comfortable and magnificent experience right in a superb location. The service was top-notch, with staff being very friendly and gracious. The hotel's proximity to Yuyuan market and the subway made the location superb, although it was a bit far from some shopping areas. The dining options were diverse and satisfying, catering to different tastes. Overall, the hotel offered a great experience with a few minor drawbacks.
The hotel offers spotlessly clean rooms with excellent facilities, including Venetian blinds on the wall separating the main room and the bathroom. While smaller than others, the rooms provide a fantastic view of the Bund and skyscrapers in Pudong from deck chairs. The service is very helpful and accommodating, making my stay enjoyable. The location is superb, just meters away from the metro station, providing easy access to Shanghai's main attractions. The dining experience, although a bit expensive, offers a variety of dishes but has limited options for non-Chinese guests and vegetarians.
The hotel offers a nice view of the Shanghai Tower from the room, with efficient cleaning staff. The air conditioner and tub in the living room were nice touches, but there were communication issues regarding additional charges added to the bill. The location is convenient, especially for visiting the Yu Garden markets, but the dining experience could be improved.
